TNHDC win National e- Governance Silver Award 2016-17 and SKOCH Smart Governance Platinum Award 2016-17

A long corridor as this one can get a dignified face–lift with a rather unorthodox highlight as this one. The creativity that sparks from the artisan is totally unconventional and truly in keeping with the décor of the place. The highlight are the 3 wooden strips which get focus apart from the border ends which are intricately chiselled to give it the feel of a new design. The 3 strips hung in the centre are made out of Rose wood and has a chiselled cut work running across the piece to give it the vibrancy it deserves. The trio centre piece depicts a design that flows with the contemporary style of art and the artisan deftly chisels his way through to give the hanging a smooth lacquered finish.

For the unorthodox effect, the décor yet again gives room for a long panel of Madhubani painting strip which adds a touch of bright colour to the wall with a subdued touch of brown that accentuates the wooden strips and complements it in totality. A perfect combination and blend with the tapestry, yet something that is very novel in outlook to give the corridor a classic, rusty feel like never before. A dancing Apsara pose in teak wood completes the design in a stool that is carved out of Rose wood and the figurine lends a touch of added beauty from a corner. The other side has two or three large copper bowls of different dimension and shapes, placed as planters to give it an ethnic touch.
