TNHDC win National e- Governance Silver Award 2016-17 and SKOCH Smart Governance Platinum Award 2016-17

The versatility of clay-work or Papier mache is depicted here to demonstrate how a drab zone can be converted into a visual treat. The zone for GENTS is demarcated by an artwork in clay  or Papier Mache to steal the interiors of any place, be it at the Corporate or the shop floor. Clay masks are certainly colourful and eco friendly too, not too pricey and appeal to the eye far more than a mere computer print-out stating “GENTS” for the toilet zone. In today’s world, the impact of good interiors matter a lot when there is stiff competition and a different approach to highlighting by way of an art is always preferred and has come to stay.  A dramatic change to the appearance of the wall is brought out by adding a back ground of bright yellow on which the mask is placed. This also enhances the richness of the interiors and alters the dimensions of the room.  Clay is found in many belts in different colours across India viz., Red in Karnataka and Kolkatta, Black in Andhra Pradesh and Pink in Chennai and Mixed varieties in Kerala and Pondicherry.
